Event Recap: New Ross Store Opening

Last week I had the opportunity to attend a Blogger Breakfast for the new Ross store opening in Niles, IL. I brought my good friend Renisha (of Renewed Fitness) along for all the fun. We met up at the new store and then they whisked us off to breakfast at nearby restaurant, Nonno Pino’s.
At the breakfast we were given the background of Ross stores and how they choose their new locations. The cool thing about Ross is that each store is different. You won’t always see the same things at each Ross store you visit. What they offer at the location is based on the demographic of the store and area.
After a very informative (and delicious) breakfast we were whisked back to the Niles location to officially shop! Ross was kind enough to give us gift cards* to help us get our start and I snagged a pair of hot pink shoes that I laid eyes on for only $20!
Renisha and I decided to check out the outerwear section and I’m so glad we did. We both tried on the same coat that was priced at $49 with a comparison price of $220. What a deal! The coat is lovely and perfect for the cold Chicago winter we are about to face so we both bought the same coat!
I must say I am definitely a fan of Ross and will certainly make it a point to continue to shop at their stores. I do wish that they had locations within city limits, though, as I do not live in the ‘burbs but alas, it is worth it to make the trip.

When I was living in the ‘burbs there was a Ross down the street. I used to check it out all the time and actually found it to be a gold mine for having great shoes! It was the strangest thing because the store lacked in every department except for the shoes. It was my little secret.
That’s hilarious! I always get lost in the shoes too, so many great choices!
I went to a Ross in Vegas and brought back 3 new pairs of shoes…had to buy a new suitcase for all the shopping I did!
@Lontier I believe it. It’s looking like Ross is a gem of a place to find some fab shoes!
