New Sassy Peach Contributor + Where To Shop Men’s Fashion in Chicago
-
If you have “liked” The Sassy Peach on Facebook, you may have noticed that I said there would be a new development on TSP this week and here we are! Please help me welcome new and very first Sassy Peach contributor Chuck Olu-Alabi!
Chuck is one of the dopest photographers in Chicago (as you can see from my “What I’m Rockin” pics), has a great sense of style and fashion and is an all-around great guy to boot. He will be bringing you, my awesome readers, the latest and greatest in all things Men’s Fashion!
I realized I could not handle such a feat on my own so I decided to call in reinforcements. To all of my male readers Chuck is your new homey, guy, “g” or whatever it is you guys call each other these days!
Today he is bringing you two of his favorite places to shop here in the Windy City, so Chuck take it away.
Hey guys, Chuck here bringing you two of my favorite Men’s boutiques in Chicago. I love the unique men’s fashion in Chicago and I think these shops are two of the best and my favorite in the city. First up is Leaders1354.
Leaders1354 is a Men’s boutique that opened in 2002 in Chicago’s south side Hyde Park neighborhood. They are now located in downtown Chicago. I myself have purchased a few things from this shop and the quality of their brand is pretty good. I’ve never been disappointed with any items that I purchased. The environment is very inviting and the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable about the different brands and fashion in general.
They offer a variety in street wear fashion, from home grown brands to their own clothing line that include New Era caps, hoodies, and tees. Don’t worry about having to spend your whole paycheck here. The prices will not break the bank.
Pay them a visit at: 672 N. Wells St. | Follow them on Twitter (@LDRS1354) | Find them online: leaders1354.com
Second up is Sir & Madame.
Sir & Madame is a Men’s and Women’s boutique and lifestyle brand, birthed by husband and wife team, Brian and Autumn Merritt. Inspired by vintage, you will find offerings that are a full representation of them both. Not only are Brian and Autumn the owners of this popular boutique, but they are also designers of their in-house brand, also named Sir & Madame. They build their brand around what they call “Classic with a Twist.”
What I like about Sir & Madame is the old school/classic vibe in their brand and in the store itself. Some of the brands they carry that I especially like include Sir & Madame, Brooklyn Circus, Classic Levi’s as well as accessory offerings from Happy Socks and Tanner Goods. In my opinion their prices tend to run higher than other boutiques but they are worth the price.

If you live in Chicago or if you’re ever in town check out these two shops. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. And ladies if you’re looking to get the man in your life something special from street wear to classic vintage, you can’t go wrong with these two shops.
Stay tuned next Thursday for Chuck’s next post and be sure to follow him on Twitter (@chuckstr)!
