Event Recap: Sunglass Hut x Macy’s with Brad Goreski and Tia Dantzler
This past Saturday not only did I attend the Nike event, but I also hit up Macy’s State St. for the Sunglass Hut event featuring celebrity stylist Brad Goreski (of The Rachel Zoe Project fame) and celebrity make-up artist, Tia Dantzler.
After a quick Magnolia Bakery run, I ended up getting there early so I was able to chat it up with the lovely Tia for a bit and snap a pic with her. To know her is to love her!
Also while waiting for things to get started I had the pleasure of meeting Sunglass Hut’s fashion blogger, Kristy. She was so nice and sweet and I just loved her fur vest. We were clearly on the same fashion wave length that day! (Check out her recap here)
Soon after the event officially got underway and Brad and Tia rallied up the crowd. I was asked to participate in a fashion challenge to win a pair of sunglasses from Sunglass Hut (up to $250 value), so you know I couldn’t turn that down. Before I know it I’m front and center with Brad and Tia and my fellow contestant.
Brad and Tia gave us 3 fashion inspirations (ie. Jackie O, The Olsen twins) and we had to match up a pair of sunglasses that we felt best personified each inspiration. After each challenge the crowd was asked to applaud for which they liked best. I got some great applause by the way and before I knew it I was announced as the winner! I of course asked Brad & Tia for their advice on which pair I should go for and we all decided on gold aviators from Italian brand Persol.
They are quite magnificent and I couldn’t be happier to rock my new, winning pair! I had so much fun meeting and greeting both Brad and Tia. Brad is so, so nice and even tweeted me after the event!
This event was a fab one indeed and I had such a great time. NY you’re the next lucky bunch to have the opportunity to attend this fun event! Brad and Tia’s next stop is Macy’s Herald Square Saturday, October 15! Don’t miss it and if you attend, tell them The Sassy Peach sent you! Head over to Sunglass Hut’s Facebook page for more details.
Thank you to Brad, Tia, Kristy and Sunglass Hut!
