Yes, you read the title right. This post is for the guys! I’ve been getting a lot of requests from male friends, acquaintances and loved ones to include men’s fashion on TSP and I have finally obliged. It’s a new day here on TSP, so make room ladies! Guys, I can’t promise it will be an everyday occurrence, but it will most likely be weekly so stay tuned.
We are certainly experiencing cooler temperatures as fall has landed upon us, so I tracked down the best in jackets and coats from 5 retailers. First on deck is Zara.
Zara – If you’ve never shopped at Zara, keep in mind that they are a European retailer so the cut of their clothing is rather slim. You should always try on outerwear and you definitely want to do so with European cut/style clothing.
If a Zara is in your area head on over to try on a few of their jackets and coats to get an idea of how they look and fit on you. No Zara in your area? Buy online and leave room for error. Meaning, you may have to do a purchase, return and exchange type of deal until you find what works best.
Topshop/Topman – This UK retailer just planted its 2nd US location in Chicago and has just about everything to offer both men and women.
Karmaloop.com – Karmaloop is an online only store with never ending clothing, shoes and accessories offerings. The options below could have gone on for days but I just narrowed it down and highlighted these 3. With that being said do spend some time on KL and see all that they have to offer.
1. VANS Battery Jacket (also available in Black) – $62 | 2. KR3W Manchester Canvas Jacket (also available in Green and Khaki) – $76 | 3. Obey The Rapture Jacket (also available in Black and Brown) – $125 | 4. Supreme Being Convoy Jacket – $250
Nordstrom – Department stores are always a good stop when searching for outerwear. Nordstrom not only houses great merchandise but they also offer a buy online–pickup in store service as well as on-site tailoring and alterations. They are known for having really good sales and offer even more budget friendly merchandise at their sister store Nordstrom Rack.
Forever 21 – Do not be alarmed by the mention of Forever 21. They do offer men’s clothing with their 21 Men brand, so I have not steered you wrong. If you don’t want to be caught dead in a Forever 21, you can always shop online! They are very budget friendly if you are not looking to spend major bucks on outerwear.
Well guys I hope this helped give you a jumpstart into finding some cool, new jackets and coats! Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!
