Color Blocked Mani with Ruby Kisses

  • Last week I attended The Makeup Show Chicago (as I talked about in my video recap here). In my Blogger Preview gift bag were two nail lacquers from the Ruby Kisses cosmetics line. I had been wanting to try color blocking on my nails and saw this as the perfect opportunity to do so.

    I took RK “Peach on Fire” and “Hot Pink Pants” (pictured above) to my neighborhood nail salon and explained to the nail tech what I wanted. After explaining a few times she finally got it and what a great end result! If I would have done this myself at home it would not have looked nearly as good. I’m still getting there when it comes to painting my own nails. I’ll conquer that one of these days!

    So what do you all think? I definitely plan on trying it again with some other colors. Will you try my color blocked mani look?
