New York Fashion Week: Jason Wu FA09

As I’m sure you already know, Jason Wu is currently “The Golden Child,” since First Lady Michelle Obama has taken a liking to his designs. For this Fall 2009 collection, he said he was inspired by fairy tales, particularly a book of illustrations by Arthur Rackham, that he had as a child. Well Young Wu definitely did not disappoint!
He stayed true to his classiness & clean lines, as everything was kept very lady-like. For accessories he went for bold necklaces that were worn right on top of the pieces. (I spy a trend on the horizon!)
I thought the clothes were gorgeous & I liked how he played with different colors. The red skirt, yellow dress, & purple dress really pop. Wu also chose a diverse selection of models which I applaud him for. (I spy Arlenis Sosa, Sessilee Lopez, Chanel Iman, & Jourdan Dunn!) He hit the nail on the head with this one & he is definitely headed nowhere but up.
