New York Fashion Week: African Fashion Collective 2009

  • Last week I told you about a new magazine, Arise debuting & a fashion show coinciding with its launch. Well that show took place on Friday & it was a star studded event. The legendary Grace Jones took to the stage for designer Xuly Bet as well as Liya Kebede, Chanel Iman, Oluchi, Sessilee Lopez, Alek Wek, & Hollis Wakeema & many more.

    I am so excited about this, MOMO is impressive, I want all of the Stone Cherie and the last dress in Tifany Amber’s colection is to die for. I went to her store in Lagos Nigeria while visiting last summer, nice.
